Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

Welcome to Amulet. By accessing or using our digital coordination platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Acceptable Use

Amulet is designed to streamline logistics and coordination workflows within the funeral service industry. Users (directors, coordinators, vendors, and clients) agree to provide accurate data and represent case/order attributes in good faith. Unauthorized scraping, access attempts, or credentials exploitation is strictly prohibited.

2. Portals & Access Links

Our platform provides secure, passwordless links for vendor fulfillment and family access. Some links are single-use (such as a one-time proof approval); others — like a family's case communication page — remain active until they expire or are revoked, so the family can return to message the funeral home and share files. Every link is intended solely for the specific vendor or family contact it was issued to. Sharing these links publicly or using them for unauthorized access violates these terms.

3. Intellectual Property & Proofs

Vendors retain intellectual property rights for design layouts they submit, granting Amulet and the associated funeral directors a non-exclusive license to display, modify, download, and review drafts for specific order fulfillment and client delivery purposes.

4. Limitation of Liability

Amulet facilitates communication and order dispatching. We are not liable for vendor-family delivery discrepancies, service quality, or physical fulfillment issues arising directly between directors, families, and assigned vendor partners.

5. Payments, Disputes & Vendor Clawbacks

Payments for orders are processed through our payment provider (Stripe) and settle against the Amulet platform account. Because the platform account is the merchant of record for these transactions, when a family or client disputes or charges back a payment, the dispute—including the disputed amount and any associated dispute, chargeback, or processing fees imposed by Stripe—is assessed against the Amulet platform account first.

Where a dispute or chargeback arises from goods or services that the assigned vendor did not deliver, did not fulfill, or fulfilled materially incompletely or not as described, you, the vendor, are solely responsible for the full cost of that dispute. By accepting an order on the platform, you expressly authorize Amulet to recover and claw back those dispute costs—including the disputed principal and all related dispute, chargeback, and processing fees—directly from your pending Stripe balance, or, where your pending balance is insufficient or unavailable, to debit and offset those amounts against your next and any subsequent payout(s) in your payout ledger until the full amount is recovered.

If your pending Stripe balance and scheduled payouts are together insufficient to cover the clawed-back amount, you agree to remain liable for and to promptly repay any remaining deficit to Amulet upon request. Amulet may withhold, freeze, or reduce payouts as reasonably necessary to secure or satisfy anticipated or pending dispute liability. This clawback right is in addition to, and does not limit, any other remedies available to Amulet under these Terms or applicable law.

6. Text Messaging (SMS)

Funeral homes may enable text messaging to communicate with families about a case. By providing a mobile number, or by enabling reply-by-text in your settings, you consent to send and receive SMS messages through the platform. Directors are responsible for confirming they have the family's consent to be contacted by text and for the accuracy of any number they provide. Message frequency varies with case activity; message and data rates may apply; and message delivery and timing depend on mobile carriers, which are outside our control. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or request help by replying HELP.

Incoming texts are matched to the most relevant case automatically and, where needed, by asking the sender to confirm. This routing is provided on a best-effort basis; for time-sensitive or sensitive matters, confirm the conversation within the app. Amulet is not liable for messages that are delayed, undelivered, misrouted, or viewed by an unintended person with access to a shared device or number.
