At Amulet, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal data, especially sensitive information related to deceased individuals and their families. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our portal.
We collect information provided directly by funeral coordinators, directors, vendor partners, and family representatives during order creation and case management:
When a funeral home enables text messaging, we use the family and director phone numbers provided to send and receive SMS messages about a case. Message content and the related phone numbers are processed by our messaging provider solely to deliver these texts, and are stored with the case record so the conversation stays in one place. Text messaging is optional — directors opt in from their settings, and either party may stop receiving texts at any time (for example, by replying STOP). Message and data rates may apply, and delivery timing depends on mobile carriers. We do not use phone numbers or message content for advertising, and we do not sell them.
We share information with trusted service providers only as needed to operate the platform — including our payment processor (Stripe), email provider (Resend), file storage, and our SMS provider (Twilio) for text messaging. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.
We implement industry-standard encryption, secure HTTP-only cookie authentication, and strict multi-tenant database indexing to safeguard all sensitive coordination records from unauthorized access.
